A Flying Teardrop?

An Israeli/American start up company has begun taking pre-orders for the ASKA, a folding, electric, street-legal, vertical takeoff and landing vehicle that enables the driver to drive along the city streets or fly over them.

The author of the linked article refers to the "SUV-sized ASKA, which means "flying bird" in Japanese, sets itself apart from other vehicles thanks to its teardrop cabin that enables it to take up to four people."

I'm thinking that with a price tag over $700,000USD that most of us won't be hurrying to place our orders. But I do love that other industries are taking note of our beloved teardrop shape for travel.

Link to the ASKA website. Here you can see a better shot of the vehicle's teardrop cabin.
