March/April 2023 Issue Released

How do you know it's nearly spring in Michigan? Because it's 20°F and snowing! All kidding aside, we're getting excited for spring and we've been planning out some of our larger camping trips. If you want to camp with us and see what summer is like on and near the Lake Michigan coast of Michigan, the be sure to read our article about our teardrop crawl happening this August. Campsites in Michigan do book up pretty quickly, so if this interests you, don't wait to book your sites for the week. The article starts on page 16.

Ron Konrade has provided another great article about his first trip with his Argonaut teardrop camper. Not only did he build a one-of-a-kind teardrop (which was highlighted in our January/February 2023 issue), but he also went on an epic first outing! Many thanks to Ron for sharing his Argonaut with us.

Did you know that we love getting stories from you?! It's not possible for our small staff to cover every event, meet-up, or to find and highlight your DIY builds or upgrades to your campers, so please shoot us an email with your ideas, articles, and photos. If we end up using your article in an upcoming issue, we'll send some money to you! Yep, we do pay now a small amount for your articles if we use them.

Our Leave No Trace article for this issue focuses on Principle 2, Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces. This topic can be tricky with many of us who enjoy getting away from standard campgrounds. But there are ways that this can be done while still respecting our environment and those around us.

Lastly, we're starting a series on tiny camper electrical systems. In this issue, we've highlighted how to determine what your electrical needs might be. We will start to go into more depth for future issues but this is a great first step in either adding or updating your current electrical system in your teardrop, squaredrop, or other tiny camper.

Enjoy this issue and be sure to submit your DIY build articles, upgrades, etc. We're here to help share your story with our community.
